Google is testing a new option called “Confirm with Voice Match.” It allows users to authorize payments using their voice on purchases made with Google Assistant on in any smart device connected to a Google Account.
This functionality is currently being tested on smart displays and speakers that work with the Google Assistant. There is no official information on which devices can activate this function or the regions in which this test can be accessed.
Google has not commented anything about the voice payment will be activated for everyone, as they will wait to obtain the results of this test.
The user must have configured a payment method and a delivery address in your Google account and activate the new option “Confirm with voice Match” That will allow confirming the payment with the voice, which will appear in “Payments and Security”.
To improve the security of transactions, within the voice payment options, the option “Confirm that it is you before paying” can be activated so that before making the payment, you will receive a notice on the phone so that the user Authorize the purchase with a fingerprint or face unlock.
To activate the function, the user should: 👋
Say: “Hello, Google” or touch the “Home” button of any smart device. 🙌
Then click on the compass icon that appears at the bottom.
Tap on the profile image at the top and access “Settings” and the “Payments” section. ⚠
To continue, you must activate the option “Verify that it is you before paying” and, finally, enable the “Confirm with Voice Match” option. 👄
And to deactivate it, simply access the “Payments” option and turn off the “Confirm with Voice Match”.
